             Machines and the Emotions

Machine is something that reduces human effort. In other words, machines do our work better and faster . They save our time and energy. They ease our work and life. They are completely in our control.

Emotions literally mean "disturbances". They refer to our feelings. The eight basic human emotions are : FEAR, ANGER, SADNESS, TRUST, JOY, DISGUST , ANTICIPATION AND SURPRISE . The
other emotions are : acceptance, affection, anxiety, boredom, confusion, depression, doubt, envy, forgiveness, guilt, gratitude, hope, hunger, pride and remorse. The bad news is that emotions are not in our control. We may feel sometimes that certain emotions are in our control, but, it is never really so. To love, to forgive or to avoid jealousy etc are really tough for us. Emotions are mostly the weaknesses of human beings.  They are at the same time  the real grounds of our real and lasting well-being.
However, sometimes the change of environment  may change or modify some of our
emotions.
In short, the title is composed of two contrasting terms and it acts as a tempting signboard for the essay which discusses the need of machines and emotions in human life in detail. The lesson greatly  highlights the significance of two entities, machines and emotions, in the life of humans.
